If you are getting married in the Spring season and you are looking to create tablescapes for your wedding reception that feel fresh, simple and delicate, these ideas I'm sharing are sure to inspire you for how to decorate your space. They work particularly well for couples choosing to get married outdoors in a garden setting, maybe inside a traditional white marquee, a glasshouse, a sailcloth tent, or perhaps inside a magical tipi. They are also perfect for couples who are keen to add nature into their wedding design, with lots of lush greenery like house plants, coloured crystal glassware, romantic floaty linens, warm candle light, and really want that wild flower look where they are loosely arranged in bud vases, so they look like they have just been picked fresh from the garden. All so they can create an elegant botanical style. If this sounds like a bit of you, you will love soaking up today's ideas.

Spring Colour Scheme

The colours I have used together to make this design are a mixture of pure white, gold, yellow and a variety of shades of green. These together add simplicity, add warmth and balance, creating a natural freshness to it. The tiny touches of yellow add a zesty pop of colour that adds interest and makes it perfect for spring weddings. This is for you if you just love the botanical wedding style and a simple greenery look with a twist is just want you're looking for. It would also suit couples who are looking at planning a mediterranean style wedding reception that has a natural elegance with a relaxed, joyful atmosphere, working well for a coastal destinations, countryside venues, or inside a rustic barn full of charm. I am an event table stylist based in Lincolnshire UK, and we have some fabulous venues that would work beautifully with this botanical style. If you would love some help pulling your vision together I offer my table styling services to couples via my wedding table packages, which you can read more about here.

Wedding Greenery

House plants are so under-rated for using to create lush tablescape designs. There are so many varieties to choose from that can help you fill a table quite quickly. And the best part is that they will last long after your wedding day is over, making them a smart choice when comparing prices to fresh greenery. It also gives you a completely different look as well, steering you away from traditional foliage where popular choices can make your decor look like someone's else's day. This will help you create something more unique to you and open you up to a selection of new options. Lots of plants also have coloured flowers they grow too at different times of the year, adding another layer of interest and again something different. I love a Peace Lily plant and have used one here, I chose it for the lovely shaped leaves, but it looks even more fabulous when it's white flowers bloom on it in the spring time.

I have even taken cuttings from other plants in the garden that have long stems to add height and I've mixed a few dried stems with them, with some daisies and billy buttons. You could add these fresh and still get a similar result.

Table Decorations

To dress the table, I've used a white chiffon table runner across the middle, I just love to ruffle my runners as this adds a really nice texture rather than just having them lay flat, but you do what you prefer, this is just my personal preference! I added wicker charger mats, white scallop plates, green linen napkins, gold and white cutlery, green crystal goblets, gold candlesticks and some vintage crystal bud vases. These decor pieces added texture, elegance and a touch of luxury.

Finishing Touches

To bring everything together and complete the vision so it felt thoughtful and finished, I scattered zingy lemons for added freshness, chiffon ribbon to the stem of my wine goblets and some table stationery pieces from my online shop to welcome guests to their seat. Ivory slim menu cards with a romantic script in gold foil kept the design elegant. Paired with a matching dried flower name tags placed on top for a delicate touch. Complimenting table numbers were placed in the centre of the table which seamless's blended into the decor, becoming part of the design. The ivory and gold combo tie the colours in perfectly adding a warmth to the design.

A little bonus for you!

I have also included some inspiration for your wedding table plan if you are looking to create something totally unique for your reception entrance way and would love matching stationery. My individual seating chart cards allow for so many possibilities where you can create a creative display, capturing the imagination of your guests as they arrive to discover where they'll be sitting for the evening. Below are a couple of creative suggestions for you, but you could also pop them in stylish photo frames, insert in wooden holders, attach to a mirror or a wooden board for a completely different look.

For this table plan below, I have used a vintage wooden ladder, and popped the cards inside wooden holders so they stand up and positioned on each step. I've styled with plants and flowers for a wild whimsical look, perfect for outdoor weddings in the garden, perhaps where you have a little bit more space.

This other table plan design below, is perfect for small weddings where you perhaps only need a table top area to display your seating chart. I have styled with wooden drawers to add height and interest. Used lush house plants and pops of yellow and white flowers in bud vases arranged at different heights. Finishing touches include fresh lemons and warm glowing tea lights to create an intimate atmosphere. I hope these ideas inspire you, and if you would just love to create something similar like this yourself for your own wedding, you can purchase the individual cards here.  Enjoy getting creative!

Fancy something bespoke?

If you just love the little details, and stationery is something you really care about, you might want us to work together on a bespoke design. This means I can help you match your colour scheme and style together and I take into consideration how it's going to be styled on the table, so that everything blends together perfectly, instead of you trying to find a suitable pre-made design, that you hope does the trick. It could be a menu design, your place cards, some signage or you would love some ideas for your table plan. If you want to read more about bespoke then you can find out more here, or get in touch with me here, to ask any questions, I'd be more than happy to help. And if you want to have a look at pre-made designs you can personalise with your own text, just take a look in my shop here.
