Easter is a special occasion, so it's really handy if you're going to be styling your dining table ready for hosting at home, to have a few tricks up your sleeve when it comes to folding your napkins. It's such a quick and easy way to instantly elevate each place setting, so that it's fitting for the spring season. I also find it's the attention to the little details that will win your guests over at your dinner party. They will love this kind of thing and I promise you'll be giving your very own tutorial to them before they leave, because they will want to know all your secrets to creating them!!

In this blog post you'll learn step by step techniques for folded your napkins so you have a selection to choose from when hosting a dinner party at Easter time. Let get into them!

Bunny Ears Shaped Napkin

Easter is the perfect time to get playful with your table decorations, so my favourite way to fold the napkins is into a fun bunny ears shape. It's so effective and you can have a lot of fun layering up other decor items on top, to really make it your own. Some creative suggestions are inserting a free range egg inside the opening. You can leave these natural or paint them to suit your colour scheme and even draw faces on them, which is great if you have children attending your dinner party. Although adults do love that too! You don't have to stule with an egg, left without look amazing too! You can place bows on top of the napkin as I have done below which adds a stylish touch. Or you can attach name tags for each guests with ribbon or twine. Honestly the options are endless.

Shop Velvet Bows

If you like the look of my velvet bows in honey yellow, your can find them here in my online shop. They compliment lots of colour schemes, from green tones, to blue, white and natural.

Pocket Style Folded Napkin

Another fun way you can fold your napkins for Easter is to use a pocket style fold. Again super easy to create when you know how to do it and it takes seconds to achieve and looks super impressive. Creating a pocket, again opens you up to many fun styling options. Below I have inserted a menu card which is a template you can purchase from my shop here, to use over and over again. I've slid it inside the pocket and simply laid one of my pre made velvet bows in honey yellow on top. It's super simple but so stylish. You can use a plain napkin or I am showing you in the video below how to use a one sided patterned napkin to achieve the same look.

You can also use the pocket to hold your cutlery or you might want to fill it full of flowers. Dried flowers will of course be a better choice for this, if you are prepping your table in advance, so that real flowers don't wilt on you. I encourage you to have fun with it!

Folded Flat Napkins

Another way to style your napkins for Easter is to fold them flat and long so that they lay down in the centre of your plate. This is also great for layering up your finishing touches. Below I have placed my cutlery on top and then layered a velvet bow on top of them to make my place setting feel and look complete. You could add a name tag or a flower to make it your own and to help tie all your details together.
