Elegant Easter tablescape inspiration with a yellow & green colour palette
Isn't it just a lovely feeling when the sense of spring is in the air. March is here, the winter months are now behind us, the sun has finally made an appearance here in the UK, which means blue skies and flower bulbs are popping up in an array of cheerful colours, making us all feel like a fresh start is now upon us. Whoo hoo, to that! There's also so much to look forward to in the Spring time, we have Mother's day in March and we celebrate Easter in April, which includes a long bank holiday weekend. Amen to that! This means we naturally feel like spending more time outside, our energy & mood lifts and our desire to host and have family & friends over for dinner, goes up a notch.
So if you're planning on hosting this Easter, and you'll be cooking for your family or friends, and you are searching for some fresh ideas to inspire you for decorating your dining room table, I have got you covered today with a brand new spring tablescape design, perfect for gathering around the table & marking this fun occasion. So lets dive in to all the juicy details.
How spring flowers bring your tablescape to life
I do think it's a really nice treat to have some fresh blooms around your home this time of year, it really does perk you up. After going through the winter time with no fresh flowers around, it's the perfect time to bring some freshness indoors. So with this in mind I paid a visit to my local fruit & veg shop, which is where the ideas for this started to form. I spotted some fresh daffodils and white tulips which I knew would bring the exact vibes to the table, that I was after. I also grabbed some free range eggs, and some juicy yellow plums which meant I now have the beginnings of my easter tablescape design. Yay! It's time to get creative!

Creating a fun elegant farmhouse look on the table for Easter
So I wanted the table to feel fun, fresh and earthy overall. I had this idea that I wanted it to have a natural farmhouse look about it, but with an elegant twist. So the colour scheme and decor I chose wanted to really complimented this whole vibe, so I knew a mix and match approach would be required when picking my pieces. And I think it turned out really nice.

A traditional yellow, white & green spring colour scheme
The colour palette was made up of cream, yellow, green and white which was made up using the linens, the tableware and the flowers throughout. I see this as a traditional colour combination for Easter but pastel shades work well too, depending on your preference. I made sure I had the balance of colour just right as I didn't want just one colour to dominate for this look. Lush green added the freshness I was after, cream added the elegance, yellow added the fun vibes and the natural mats I added, provided the earthy touch I was after.

Spring table decorations for an elegant style
The table decor I decided on were my jute runners for down the centre and seagrass charger mats which both added a rustic farmhouse look. I added a cream chiffon table runner on top to soften them and it added some elegance to the base layer. I placed clear bud vases in different heights and shapes down the middle and picked these clear crystal candle holders with white tapered candles for some lighting, height & texture. I also thought these green goblet style wine glasses added some interest and I added gold and white cutlery for a luxury touch that also added warmth.

Fruit inspired table styling
Using fruit is such a quick and affordable way to add splashes of colour on the table. I love using what's in the current season and it also brings a bit more interest into your design, so that it's eye catching for your guests. Plus as a bonus, you can of course eat it after your dinner party is finished, so nothing goes to waste. It's a win, win! I scattered my yellow plums along the centre, and dotted a few green leaves and spring dried flowers among them to really make them pop.

Statement Easter Table Centrepiece
Seeing as this table is for hosting at home, I chose to add a main centrepiece to make a bit of a statement on the table. I choose a rustic glazed style jug I have in my collection and filled with the white tulips, willow that was left over from Christmas and some foliage that was just coming into bud in my own garden. I think it's beautiful and a real show stopper.

Easter Bunny Napkin Place settings
On top of my seagrass charger mats I added my white scalloped plates, white linen napkins which were folded into fun bunny shape ears, so I could incorporate my fresh eggs. Layered with my pre made botanical ribbon bows which lifts the whole thing. I just love added a bit of pattern, it really makes a huge difference, elevating each guests place. Then I finished it with my editable menu cards which you can download here. They are an easy to use template you can use over and over again in Canva, that are available in four colours. I printed them on white card in the lush green colour option which really tied everything in nicely together.
