I am very excited to share this blog post today as I have fresh new wedding inspiration to share with you, from a recent styled shoot I organised with a team of amazing local Lincolnshire wedding suppliers. If you're beginning to plan your wedding look, and you would love something elegant, romantic and intimate with a boho vibe with a dreamy neutral colour scheme, my team and I will be spoiling you with creative ideas to spark your imagination.

In this blog post I will be sharing what inspired this design concept, what the team created to help me bring it to life, behind the scenes of what we got up to on shoot day and we'll be hearing from some members of the team, who are kindly sharing their own take on the whole event.

I chose a very talented bunch of ladies to bring my vision to life, so be sure to take note of who I worked with, as you may just find the next supplier who you've been searching for. I hope that after reading this blog post and seeing the stunning work that was captured, it will inspire you with ideas for creating your own dream wedding day.

The purpose of the styled shoot

When I first had the idea for this styled shoot, I wanted to choose a small team of suppliers who had multiple creative skills, for a few reasons. Firstly, I wanted to allow the suppliers to showcase to couples all what they can offer them, as lots of wedding suppliers I know have multiply strings to their bow, and I often feel like this is under celebrated in the wedding industry. I feel like couples entering wedding planning may not realise how much choosing these types of suppliers to make up their team, can hugely benefit them whilst planning. Reducing stress levels and saving couples huge amounts of time which is what most couples dream of, especially when they are already busy with work and life commitments. I'm so passionate about this topic, as making wedding planning easier & simple for couples is my mission, so I dive into this topic deeper in this blog post if you want to read more about it here.

Secondly, I was really keen to show couples that you don't always need a huge team of suppliers to bring your day to life. A larger team of suppliers can feel very overwhelming to juggle, which causes a lot of couples stress. I am all about helping couples have more fun, so it was really important to me to approach planning the styled shoot in the exact same way as I did with my own wedding which was stress free. If you're aiming for a small, intimate wedding day then choosing a smaller team to make it happen is the perfect choice for you.

Now, let's get in the creative part...

The design concept

The design brief I had set myself and the team of creative suppliers for this styled shoot, was an elegant and romantic aesthetic with intimate vibes. The colour scheme I opted for was neutrals, which included soft earthy brown tones, a mixture of cream shades, pure white and touches of warm gold. Pantone's colour of year for 2025 was mocha mousse which initially inspired the main colour choice for me. I wanted to create something that felt refined and dreamy to challenge myself creatively, showing a different side to my signature botanical style that I'm known for. I also love a bit of relaxed boho styling and wanted to design something showcasing dried flower arrangements for couples who prefer this alternative textured look, over fresh flowers. This was the mood board below that I put together for the team to work from.

I chatted to each supplier at the beginning of the process to let them know what I was hoping to achieve. I had 100% trust in all of them, which was based on working with a few of them before on a previous project and through viewing their work online after a recommendation. Their creative suggestions made me feel more excited about the shoot as ideas were bouncing around. Their enthusiasm for the design was infectious. I truly believe you get the best results when you trust your wedding suppliers. When you allow your suppliers to have creative input, you will end up with something much better than you could of hoped for. Honestly I had no doubt in my mind that this team would let me down, because I have seen the work they produce and I recognise that they are all passionate at delivering a high standard of work.

The styled shoot location

The styled shoot was based at the enchanting Scrivelsby Walled Garden in Horncastle Lincolnshire. We struck lucky on the day of the shoot, as it was the most beautiful warm sunny day late September, so when Lindsey our photographer arrived on site, she immediately suggested doing the shoot outside in the grounds for a different vibe. I loved the idea as there are so many beautiful backdrops in the garden with lush greenery climbing up the distressed stone walls, rustic wooden doorways, beautiful trees and a charming wishing well which adds so much character to the space. It is literally a picturesque setting for laid back couples who want a natural outdoor wedding with an english country garden backdrop. With the majestic tipis in the background this venue is hard to match.

So first let me talk you through my part of the styled shoot, which was two tablescape designs and creating a statement cake display.

Designing tablescape one

For my first tablescape design it was all about the boho vibes. I selected table decor that  created a feeling like you were sitting on top of a cloud at the table. So to create this, I used white dreamy chiffon draping, fluffy pampas grass arrangements, vintage earthenware, gold foiled stationery, warm candlelight and scalloped details to ooze a luxurious, textured and detailed finish. I just love how the model tucked into the umptious chocolate brownies, immersing herself into the space which was encompassed by the rugged stone surroundings of the garden wall.

Bespoke stationery pieces

Whenever I work on a new project I always lean into creating a bespoke stationery design for it to compliment the style, colour scheme and vibe. I designed these arch style menu cards and scallop shaped name tags to compliment the shape of the plates. Using an earthy brown background for the menus and a cream card for the name tags to work perfectly with the colour scheme. I used gold foil to add a luxurious touch and tie in with the other gold accents on the table, and the font style I choose was an elegant floaty script font to keep the flow of the elegant style. They both worked together in harmony.

This is the kind of thing I absolutely love helping my couples with. So if you would like to have a bespoke design created for your wedding tables, so that all your design elements work perfectly together, then you can get in touch with me about creating something unique just for you here.  I can't wait to hear about your plans so I can help you come up with some creative ideas, making sure all your table pieces tie in with your decor & become part of the design, and making sure how you're going style them on the day is taken into consideration. Designing tablescape two

I decided that with my second tablescape design that I wanted to challenge myself to re-envision the existing design. I couldn't go too far off brief as the team were working from the original mood board I shared with them. This meant keeping the core elements but switching out some decor pieces to create a completely new look. The reason I wanted to do this, was to show couples that I am able to take an original idea they may have, and re-imagine it into something different. Providing them with a unique look that's tailored to them and their love story.

With this re-imagined look I was super keen to include a nod to the current season we were in by adding some darker tones to the original colour palette, which included darker brown shades through the linens, and dusky pink and hints of rich burgundy with seasonal hydrangeas. I decided to use different elegant decor pieces that kept that all important romantic ambiance with glass candle holders, vintage books and locket style photo frames for place settings. These delicate pieces I hand selected added lots of depth and provided a cosy setting which my team said had secret garden vibes.

I was so pleased with the results as I started out with a neutral base that already had a really strong concept behind it, but with a bit of imagination and creativity, I managed to transform it into a completely new idea. Stretching those creative muscles of mine!  I hope this inspires you to want to work with me on your wedding table design as I have a lot to offer my couples that will make planning their vision even more exciting! This tablescape also showcases that you can use other table decorations as well as flowers to make something special. As I recognise that not all couples want loads of flowers on their tables.

Lou displayed her mini desserts on a see through cake stand in the centre of the table which brought all the colours of the design together perfectly. Rich brownies brought out the earthy shades of the books and stoneware, pops of cherry & jam complimented the hydrangea colours and grapes I scattered around. And her delightful cupcakes even matched the scallop plates with her attention to the piping detail. Honestly, this much attention to detail made me feel giddy excited!

The cake display

I wanted to create a statement display area to showcase the cake in all it's galore. I styled it with my fabric sign which says 'A sweet ending to a new beginning' in elegant white script writing. My elegant style cake stand was positioned next to the sign and dressed with dreamy draping to compliment the colour scheme. My tall wicker vase filled with extra fluffy pampas grass created a subtle neutral touch, which allowed the beautiful cake to have centre stage. It was styled in a beautiful corner of the walled garden which had a lush green backdrop which was ideal for photos.

Now it's time to hear from some of the styled shoot team who helped pull this design together with me. They are sharing their process and thoughts behind their amazing creations.

Lindsey from The Jasmine Cottage Studio

I had worked with Lindsey on a previous styled shoot with Lincs Weddings the year before, which she captured just beautifully. She is so creative in the moment as I watched her work during that shoot and I felt a real buzz being around her. Lindsey has an unbelievable eye for the details, which to me are so important to capture, as I think it’s the small things that help to tell the whole story. I’ve worked with lots of photographers but no one has captured the level of detail that Lindsey captured for that shoot, so for me it was always going to be her I asked, without a doubt.

We discussed my vision for shoot, of course close up details were at the top of my list, and lots behind the scenes of the team doing their thing. Honestly Lindsey went above and beyond with this shoot, she delivered a whole folder full of dreamy photographs that not only showcased everyone’s talents included her own, and showed off the grounds of the picturesque venue, but she told the whole story of the shoot from start to finish. The photos left me speechless and made me feel so proud of what we had achieved together. She continues to impress me with her attention to the details and art of storytelling.

Here's what she had to say about the shoot..

A Little About Me

I’m the photographer and storyteller behind The Jasmine Cottage Studio, a wedding photography business built on heart, connection, and a love for honest, romantic imagery. My approach is gentle and relaxed, focusing on documenting real emotion and the beautifully unposed moments that happen naturally throughout a wedding day. I believe that photography should feel effortless — more like spending time with a friend than being in front of a camera.

Why I Loved Being Part of This Styled Shoot

When Rea at Confetti Sweethearts invited me to collaborate on this boho-inspired concept, I knew it was going to be something special. Styled shoots are such a wonderful way to explore creativity, try new ideas, and bring together suppliers who share the same passion for beautiful detail. The theme blended soft earthy tones, textured florals, and free-spirited design elements that felt both modern and timeless. The entire day had a relaxed, joyful energy — the kind where everyone is buzzing with ideas, the laughter flows easily, and every time you glance around, there’s another gorgeous moment unfolding to capture.

My Approach Behind the Lens

For this shoot, I wanted the photographs to feel organic, warm, and free-spirited — reflective of my signature style, where I love connecting with all those I am with. I worked with natural light as much as possible, leaning into the softness of the garden setting and letting the environment shape the frames. Whether it was the delicate stationery details, the movement of the dress, or the intimate moments with the model, my goal was to tell the full story of the shoot: the atmosphere, the craftsmanship, and the emotion woven through every element.

A Truly Inspirational Day

It was an amazing collaboration from start to finish, and I left feeling incredibly inspired. Shoots like this remind me why I love what I do — photography is not just about creating beautiful images, but about creating connection. Connection with other creatives, with couples, and with the moments that matter.

Jessica Purdie Ltd

I had also met Jessica at the same previous styled shoot as Lindsey, her bubbly personality was infectious, and I could have chatted to her for ages! In fact I did! When I approached her about doing the shoot it was to provide some bridal accessories for it, she was also really keen to show couples she could make wedding dresses too. I loved her enthusiasm so we chatted about making a slip dress that could be easily altered and added to for other future shoots, showing the cycle of a wedding to after the wedding day for other occasions.
We discussed opting for a V neck line so that we could add delicate jewellery pieces. She took the lead without hesitation to sort out the model for fittings in her bridal studio. Being a plain slip dress Jessica focus on details too, including lace on the bodice and button details down the back and around the cuffs and I just loved the floaty sleeves which provided that floaty dreamy vibe I was after.

Natalie George

I met Natalie a few ago at my first ever wedding open day I took part in at a new wedding venue and she instantly felt like a friend. I felt I had a lot in common with her as my previous career was a hair stylist and beautician. I knew Natalie wouldn’t let me down as she is very hard working and I have always known we would work well together. I made sure she had everything she needed to create her hair and make up masterpiece for the shoot, including multiply photos of the model so she knew what she was working with, so she could plan her look. It was amazing to see the transformation from when the model arrived to after Natalie applied her creative skills, the whole thing really began to come together. During the shoot I handed her a bunch of dried flowers and it was just incredible how she styled them in the models hair so effortlessly. I wanted her to include her jewellery too, to complete the look using gold pieces, they complimented the gold accents on the table, the dress shape and hair up so well. I can see why this lady is so busy, her experience shines through.

Here's what she had to say about the shoot..

Searching for a skilled hair and makeup artist? Your search ends here. I’d love to bring your vision to life. I cater to every style of hair and makeup—from glam to boho, natural to alternative—and I’m here to support your vision every step of the way. With 28 years of experience, I understand that each client is unique. Your skin, your hair, your features—they all deserve a tailored approach. My goal is to enhance what makes you you, creating a look that feels authentic and impactful.

Collaborating with Rea is always a delight, and this photoshoot was no exception. I loved bringing her vision to life with a boho-inspired look that featured warm autumn colours and delicate makeup. The dried flower hair accessories from Confetti Sweethearts were the perfect finishing touch, adding a whimsical feel to the overall aesthetic.

Lou from Louise Bolland Cake Design

I hadn’t met Louise previous to this project but I had heard through Lincs Weddings that she was keen to get involved in a shoot, so I looked her up and immediately messaged her about it. I was so pleased when she said yes as her creations really impressed me from the off. We chatted about my vision and she had some amazing ideas already and supplied me with a sketch of the cake so I could easily visualise her thoughts, showing lots of texture what I was after, which made me feel more excited. We chatted about sizing too so that I knew the display stand would fit the cake perfectly. I just knew it was going to be incredible and I wasn’t wrong, it literally blew me away. It was such a statement cake and looked stunning displayed in the garden setting. The all white textured cake matched the layered decor and the style matched the elegant vibe. I encouraged her to make as much as she wanted, to showcase what she could do and she went for it by making brownies, blondies and cookies which looked and tasted incredible. They took centre stage on the second tablescape and provided the model with something to interact with, which helped bring the scene to life in the photos.

Here's what she had to say about the shoot..

When Rea contacted me and asked if I’d like to take part in a styled shoot with some amazing suppliers I jumped at the chance! Rea’s vision was for a small group of suppliers to showcase our skills and demonstrate how you don’t need an entourage to make your wedding day the day you’ve always dreamt of! I created a simple, classic white cake with a textural, floaty twist using water and rice paper sails and a beautiful floating tier by prop options. The cake reflected the masses of pampas grass in vases dotted around and came together with Rea’s vision perfectly! I also created a small dessert table with chocolate brownies, mini cupcakes, blondies and cookies! The perfect mini centre piece which could be added to each table for guests to enjoy!

Our Model Jade

Natalie’s friend Jade stepped in very last minute as our original model couldn’t make it. They says things always turn out for the best and this shoot is proof of that. Jade is a professional model and knew just what she was doing on the shoot, she immersed herself into the setting and embraced the whole thing, she just got the assignment straight way. Her enthusiasm was amazing, she knew how to pose in front of the camera which brought everything to life, and she looked like she was enjoying every minute. I can’t thank her enough for stepping in like that and absolutely smashing it. I didn’t get the chance to chat much to Jade as she was busy getting beautified, but I would work with her again in a heartbeat. Honestly having Jade involved was a such a delight, every photo of her shows how invested she was in the project from start to finish.
