Creating an elegant spring wedding tablescape from a re-imagined idea

This table design was re-imagined from an easter table I designed originally. I wanted to share how I can transform the look I created, into a brand new tablescape idea, which was then suitable for a wedding reception for the spring season, by tweaking a few of the design elements. This process is important to me to be able to show couples, because if they have found an idea they like, it shows how I can transform it into a brand new look for them, but still keeping the originally feel and essence to the design. I am not a fan of copying something you have seen, instead, I use your ideas as inspiration as well as incorporating your personalities and love story, to create tablescape designs that are unique to you. I do this by selecting decor pieces that connect you to the story you want to tell.

Pastel spring wedding colour scheme

The colour palette I choose to work with was cream, green, yellow, white, and lilac. This last addition really made the whole table pop and eye catching. For me, pastel shades ooze spring vibes, everything feels like it's bursting into life and gives a fun look to your aesthetics. The cream and white colours add a simplistic and timeless look, while the green adds freshness and interest, and the pops of yellow and lilac add a sense of fun.

Elegance meets rustic table decorations

I wanted the table to feel elegant but with rustic touches, I'm not a fan of over the top styling, so the natural additions with the seagrass charger mats and linen napkins add an informal relaxed feel to the table. Perfect for barn weddings, garden and tipi styling, which are my preferred venues, as my signature botanical style and relaxed approach, compliments these settings best. By pairing these with elegant decor choices, with green crystal candle holders and clear bud vases, it provides the delicate touch I was after.

Fruit wedding table styling

I added some yellow plums to the table to add more interest and nods to the spring season. The addition of lilac dried flowers really made the subtle colours pop. It also showcases, that you really don't need to have a tablescape full of flowers, for it to feel like a wedding, a few simple stems is all you need. And additions like fruit are amazing for adding a sense of abundance.

Spring wedding place settings

Each place setting was styled with a light touch. Folding napkins flat for a simplistic look, layering gold foil menu cards in a slim design which can be found in my shop here, and ribbon bows in lilac. A single bunny tail stem was added to the plate to finish.
