Elegant and rustic tablescape for spring weddings with a fun purple and yellow colour scheme
If you're searching for table styling ideas for your spring wedding with a fun yellow and purple colour palette, this blog post is sure to inspire you. I'll be sharing my table decoration suggestions that are perfect for creating a wedding style that has rustic touches with a delicate elegance. The table has warmth, fun vibes and a fresh look to it, so if this sounds like what you're looking for, for your wedding reception, then be sure to read on!

Bringing a touch of spring to the table with a pastel colour palette
The colours I chose for this tablescape were light and bright, perfect for the season. It was mainly based around what spring flowers I could get my hands on, and then I tied the rest of the table decor in, to compliment that. It's always a good idea to check with your wedding florist when planning your tables, to check what flowers will be available to you. Pastel shades are always a safe bet when it comes to spring time, they just look fresh and uplifting. I put my focus on yellow shades adding a subtle cream colour. I also used green to add some contrast. White to add a clean simple look which made everything stand out, and finally some purple tones to add interest and make the design really pop. Yellow and purple look amazing when paired together, as you'll see below. It's so eye catching! It makes such a gorgeous wedding colour palette, you can even use this for summer weddings.

A tablescape full of spring florals in dainty bud vases
The spring flowers I chose were cheerful yellow daffodils and white tulips mixed with some dried delphiniums in purple and yellow achillea. I also added some branches from a shrub which were just coming into bud. I chose to keep it simple, which for a wedding will help keep the costs down.

Elegant table styling with a rustic touch
If you have wooden trestle tables for your wedding reception, this would give the table a more rustic look. You might have these if you're getting married in a barn or a tipi. If you're after a cleaner, formal look or you need to cover your tables as they're not a nice surface underneath, I would suggest using a white tablecloth or a plain linen fabric in a cream shade, as your base foundation, so that everything still ties in together. This would look amazing in a marquee style wedding venue or a sailcloth tent. I have dressed the table with a cream chiffon table runner down the centre and placed my clear bud vases with flowers in down the middle. I have also used green crystal candle holders with white tapered candles to add the elegance. I have also added some plums down the middle of the table, which are in season and they add a different shade of yellow. This is ideal if you don't want to overkill your table with fresh flowers. It provides a nice balance and more interest for your guests. I'm obsessed with including fruit in my work as you'll see in my other table designs here.

Spring place settings with gold foil stationery
For each place setting, I have styled with a seagrass charger mat, sleek gold and white cutlery, white scallop plates, clear wine glasses and white linen napkins folded flat. The finishing touches I added to complete the table setting were slim style menu cards in gold foil which you can purchase here, and lilac ribbon bows with a dried bunny tail stem on each plate.
