How to budget for your wedding stationery
•Posted on June 08 2021
One of the big questions about wedding stationery I get from couples is regarding the cost. There are lots of different factors to consider when buying stationery for your wedding so I have put together some of my top tips for how you can budget for the items you really want to have.
..
Look at the big picture
In order to get a rough idea of what your stationery will cost, you first need to take into account what wedding stationery you will need. This includes, your wedding invitations themselves, and all your on the day elements like menu's, signs and place cards which your stationer can match up. Also don't forget to include items that surround the wedding day, before and after, like proposal cards to the wedding party and thank you cards to guests.
Quantity
It sound obvious, but the higher the number of invitations, place cards, or menus you need, the higher the cost will be. So don't forget to have your numbers worked out so you can give yourself a better idea on prices as you start out.
Decide what's important to you
If you are dying for that foil finish or those luxury wax seals to close your envelopes because it is really important to you, then obviously those costs are going to add up, but if your willing to spend bit more to get what you want, it will be totally worth it to create a beautiful, unforgettable stationery suite.
I have some great tips in this blog post to help you decided what you may need.

Look for ways to save
Each couple has their own needs, which means the great thing is that you don't have to copy what everyone else has done, because your day will be different. So decide what you need the most. A typical example of this is that you may not need save the dates, therefore that has saved you some pennies that you can spend on something you do need instead. You maybe able to save on postage costs if you want your guests to reply via email instead of sending a return rsvp with envelope to them with a stamp attached. There are lots of ways to save money when you think about what is not that important to you.
