Wild Woodland Tablescape Design

I came up with this tablescape design to compliment a brand new stationery collection that I had designed. I wanted to showcase my woodland moss creations to inspire couples who love the autumn & winter months, and who want their wedding design to reflect the magic of the woodlands. I have always loved using moss in my wedding styling work, so I couldn't believe I hadn't thought of this idea before. I built my table decor around the stationery to help show it all off. With a bonus table plan display to inspire you further. Here's how it all came together.

 

My mood board's colour scheme reflected the time of year with vibrant heather plants and grasses which were very much in season at the time of creating. The dried moss and grasses added a wild rustic texture I was after.

For the table I layered a forest green table runner over a linen tablecloth. I used stylish black cutlery, black napkins, seagrass chargers, forest green chargers, and brass candle holders with white tapered candles for a romantic vibe. Green and gold are a match made in heaven so it felt very enchanting.

I created a couple of simple and delicate arrangements with dried wild grasses and heather plants, covered in moss to emulate the forest floor.

I used wood slices to hold the moss covered table numbers to help blend into the design.

The menus and place cards were also from my woodland moss collection. They added a fun texture to the place settings. With torn edges for a rustic vibe of the forest and gold foil for a luxury touch.

I had a fun idea for the table plan which I styled with some props from my decor catalogue with handmade wooden drawers, wood slices and brown vintage bottles. I used the delicate grasses, dried moss and vibrant heather around all the pieces to make a complimenting woodland scene. My individual table plan cards allow creativity to flourish with endless ideas for styling. They blended in beautifully with there moss corners making them part of the whole design.
