I was thrilled to be asked to style Stockwith Mill's Stables by the owners Kristi & Simon, ready for their summer open day in june. I already had some ideas I wanted to use, so I couldn't wait to get to work on the design. This time around I wanted to create an outdoorsy vibe with a relaxed garden feeling. Including lots of plants and subtle pops of colour. The colour palette I chose was very calming and the decor I selected to decorate the room was very natural with a fresh feeling. This is my mood board below that I used to help start the whole vision off and the other suppliers involved, could bring their offerings to the table to compliment.

The design began with the incorporation of my handmade wooden ladder, that would be suspended from the beams. It works as a real showstopper decor piece, so the whole design would work around it. I imagined lots of ivy trailing around it as it would in a real garden and I wanted to add some hanging lampshades to give it extra wow factor. I handmade some moss lamp features as well for some extra garden vibes and to add more interesting pieces.

On the tables I wanted the decor to be quiet simple, with sage green and white chiffon table runners & wicker charger mats for a natural vibe. I used aged terracotta pots with plants in and created some dried floral arrangements with lots of lavender, thistles and star flowers to add a delicate touch. I added tea lights for a soft warm glow of candle light.
I designed a new stationery collection to compliment the theme with a delicate floral design. I used lilac foil on the menus, and mint foil on the place cards with a sage green wax seal to add a touch of the wow factor.

I wanted to create a fun, creative table plan idea to sit on a table. So I used twisted willow branches in a vase filled with moss and then tied my table plan luggage tags from the branches.
I also added a favour station by using my handmade wooden apothocary drawers with packets of seeds for guests to take home with them. I used wooden trellis with ivy to style the area out and tie in with the rest of the garden theme.
I was really pleased with how all the ideas came together on the day.
