When I had the idea for this styled shoot at the beginning of 2025, the inspiration behind it was to show couples that you don't need a huge team of suppliers to bring your design aesthetics together. I wanted to encourage multi passionate creatives to showcase their multiple talents they can offer couples, which makes the planning process for them much more seamless.

Styled shoots are fantastic for wedding suppliers to showcase their creativity and talents. We do them to inspire couples with fresh ideas, helping you visualise our work for your own wedding. We want to show you what’s actually possible when you put your trust in us, and collaboration is a fantastic way to do this.

Let's dive into how this shoot came together.

Mood Board

My mood board that I shared with my suppliers to provide a clear design brief that showcases the colour scheme, style & vibe of my vision.

The Venue

I am very fortunate to have a beautiful tipi wedding venue on my doorstep at Scrivelsby Walled Garden in Horncastle, Lincolnshire. I knew it would make the perfect backdrop for a magical styled shoot with all their twinkle lights and cosy vibes. While the initial plan was to capture inside the tipis, we actually struck very lucky the day of the shoot with the most gorgeous sunny warm day in October. So the decision was made to capture everything outside in the grounds of the picturesque walled garden, which gave a completely unique feel and showed off all the photo opportunities available to couples in the autumn months.

The Design Concept

I chose to create two tablescape designs and a statement cake display to inspire couples who are looking for an elegant, romantic vibe with a boho style. The colour scheme I chose was neutrals, with shades of brown, tones of cream, pure white and accents of gold to create warmth.

Tablescape Design One

The concept for my first tablescape was for the model to feel like she was sitting on top of a cloud, so I used an abundance of fluffy pampas grass and dreamy draping to bring my vision to life. I incorporated lots of elegant style candle holders, fluted tea lights to add romance, scalloped plates for textured details, and foiled table stationery for a luxury finish.

Tablescape Design Two

For my second tablescape, I decided to challenge myself and re-imagine my existing design, to show couples that by switching out a few elements, the whole look can be transformed while still maintaining the original idea. For this design I wanted to add some more warmth and give a nod to the current season we were in. I added a darker brown shade with the draping and added hints of blush pink and burgundy with seasonal hydrangeas and finishing touches. I also wanted to show that you don't need a table full of flowers to create a look, so I used old vintage books to add interest. I also change the place cards to locket style frames telling a different story.

The Stationery

I created bespoke stationery to compliment the tableware, with an arch style menu card and round scalloped name tags with textured ribbon tied to the cheesecloth napkins. These tied in with the scalloped plates and added a softness & interest. I used gold foil to tie in with the other gold accents on the table for a luxurious feel.

For the second tablescape I switched these out for vintage style brass frames which held gold foil name cards inside with dried hydrangea petals to tie the flowers in.

If you would love bespoke stationery made just for your table design, you can find more about that service here.

Cake Display

I wanted to create a statement display area to showcase the cake in all it's galore. I styled it with my fabric sign which says 'A sweet ending to a new beginning' in elegant white writing. My elegant style cake stand was positioned next to the sign and dressed with dreamy draping to compliment the colour scheme. My tall wicker vase filled with extra fluffy pampas grass created a subtle neutral touch, which allowed the beautiful cake to have centre stage. If you love this look you can hire this display as a package from my decor catalogue.

The styled shoot was a fun filled day with a lovely team that was full of creativity. I hope that you feel inspired after exploring how it all came together and that it provides you with the confidence to trust your wedding team with your vision.
