It's become the norm for me to set myself design briefs so that I can regularly inspire you with the latest table decor trends & seasonal inspiration, to help you create beautiful tables for your events big or small. Whether you are hosting at home or planning a special event like a wedding, the ideas I share are sure to make you want to pull out all the stops to help you set the scene!
This tablescape design which I'm calling 'Pastel Pop Disco' was inspired by a visit to Waitrose and Doddington Hall in Lincoln. I spotted some beautiful pastel dinner candles and just felt so inspired to create a fun zingy design with them, pairing them with disco balls for a lively vibe.

Colour Palette
The colour scheme I chose was soft lilac, mint green, lemon yellow, pure white and little touches of silver. Pastel shades are perfect for spring and summer vibes as they bring a sense of calm and lightness to a design.
The Table Decor
I chose a simple white tablecloth for the base setting as I had a lot of colour going on that I really wanted to pop. I added wicker charger mats and scalloped plates with silver cutlery and white linen napkins which I styled loosely for a relaxed vibe. I added a mixture of glass and metal candle holders to hold my fun candle finds, I especially loved the yellow twisted candles which were from Doddington Hall's gift shop. I scattered my disco balls in different sizes down the centre of the table to add that fun atmosphere.

Flowers
I foraged my own garden for flowers for this design. A handful of fennel, scabious, verbena and daisies were the perfect combination that really popped against the green bottles I included.

Pastel Place Settings
I tied some beautiful lilac satin ribbon around the napkins that matched the candles. Popped a gold foil menu on the plate and added fun engagment drink straws in the glasses, which are both available in my stationery shop.
I would encourage you to play and experiment with colourful table decor as the results can be so interesting and unique, providing you with a table worth talking about.
