The design for this tablescape was inspired by my foraged finds from my garden. As we draw closer to the autumn months, I'm still hanging off from going full on autumn vibes. The weather has been quite kind to us so my space still has lots on offer for me. An earthy colour palette, an abundance of fresh greenery and elegant decor make this design perfect for transitioning from one season to the next. Let's dive into how all the elements came together.

Colour Palette

I used a mixture of green shades, including olive green & sage green, soft earthy browns and a pop of pastel lilac to make an enchanting garden delight come to life. The bold splash of olive green with the tablecloth sets the tone for an indulgent feast. Soft lilac is the perfect pairing to add contrast and the soft brown keeps a rustic earthy vibe perfect for garden dining.

Foraged Foliage

I used a mixture of eucalyptus, a variety of ivy, cream cone hydrangeas, lilac scabious flowers and poppy heads. I filled a large stone jug as a centrepiece to create a statement piece in the centre, and I used vintage terracotta plant pots to dot around, turning a few on their sides to hold tiny succulents inside. I delicately weaved trailing ivy around the decor pieces which gave the relaxed lived in garden vibe I was going for.

Table Decor

This table began with this olive green linen tablecloth that actually started out as some fabric I was saving for the perfect project. I added wicker charger mats, plain natural linen and striped napkins in soft brown tied with lilac ribbon. I wanted the table to feel elegant and romantic so I opted for crystal candlestick holders and wine goblets to add that classy touch. I finished with my menu card template with a bow design which you can find here in my shop to tie everything in perfectly.

Vibe

The dinner candles and soft glow of the tealights provided an elegant touch. Placing them among the greenery at different heights created a romantic secret garden vibe. I absolutely love the final result!
