My inspiration for this tablescape design struck when I was passing a local florist's shop, and spotted these beautiful white heather plants outside. I just had to create something with them. I knew I had other white flowers that were still blooming that I could pick from my own garden to help build on the rest of the design. I was after creating a table full of texture and an elegant, romantic vibe to show off the crisp white details. 

I created this in the mid autumn months which is when I start missing spending time in the garden outside, so it's nice to seek out plants to enjoy, to create an indoor garden during this season.

For the place settings, I used wicker mats to add texture, with white crockery and white linen napkins layered on top. I added elegant menus made from recycled card stock with bronze foil script writing, a delicate foliage illustration and torn edges which you can find here in my shop, to compliment the romantic style. Finished with a sprig of greenery to add a delicate touch.

Wooden blocks held a romantic table number card to blend in with the setting. Styled with crisp brown autumn leaves and pine cones to tie in nature of the season.

I dressed the chairs with white chiffon drapes, keeping them simply styled to complete the look.

I popped the heather plants in wicker planters to match the charger mats, and arranged my other cuttings from the garden in aged terracotta pots. To add some elegance I used crystal candle holders with white tapered candles to help set the mood.

I added a few sprigs of fresh rosemary out of my herb garden, which helps tie everything together.

I have admired wax flowers for ages, so it was lovely to add these from my visit to the florist shop, they added another delicate addition to the table. There textured green foliage tied in perfectly with the rosemary and the heather. 

As the evening drew in, the candlelight made it look very romantic and intimate.
