The summer season allows us to dine outdoors more and go alfresco when we have our guests over for dinner. I don't know about you but the sunshine always makes me feel energised, vibrant and fresh. Which is exactly where the inspiration for this tablescape design came from. Which I'm calling 'Tropical Paradise.' This table has all the lushious details you could want for dining in the hot weather.
Colour Scheme
The colour scheme I chose consists of a bold electric blue, yellow, a mixture of green shades and touches of gold & silver. It's a colour palette perfect for creating a fun summer vibe. The colours remind me of the brilliant blue skies, summer sunshine and lush greenery that fills the landscape in the summer months.
Hanging Table Decor
Firstly, I wanted to go a bit extra, as with a tropical theme I like to take a 'more is more' approach with maximalism. I wanted to create an eye catching statement piece down the centre of the table with hanging decorations. It created an immersive experience for guests as they would be underneath a canopy of lush tropical leaves, with hanging disco balls, transporting them into a tropical jungle. I truly believe that the more effort you make to think about your guests experience, the more you will achieve amazing results that create lasting memories.
Table Decor
I styled the middle of the table with some tropical looking house plants in wicker pots, yellow and green glass bud vases that I filled with tropical leaves and grasses from my own garden. And gold candle stick holders which held white and yellow tapered candles.
Place Settings
Each place setting was decorated with a wicker charger mat, stylish gold and white cutlery, tropical patterned napkins, mini disco balls, feasting menus from my shop, leaf textured glassware and fun drinking straws.
