I think the late summer season, meaning the end of august, beginning of September, can always feel like a tricky period to be in. I am always clinging on by my finger tips to summer days, while also feeling the pull towards autumn. The season is changing slowly but surely. Signs for me are when a neighbour gives me an abundance of cooking cooking apples and my hydrangea bush is looking like it's on it's last legs. Embracing the transition in between can happen gently, so today's tablescape has been inspired by the chill in the air. I'm calling my table design 'Blooming Bows'.
Colour Palette
I wanted the colour palette to feel fresh with pops of green that stood out, so I used neutral tones of white, beige and light brown as the backdrop. It provided a classy but simple look to the table design.

The Table Decor
I chose a striped white and light brown table cloth to add some interest paired with white linen napkins which were tied loosely for a relaxed vibe. I placed my cream hydrangea flowers in a variety of clear bud vases at different heights down the centre of the table. Antique gold candle stick holders added some much needed height to the set up. I tied satin ribbon bows to base of the holders and to my ivory battery pillar candles to tie in with the design of the menu card. Apples were scattered on the table to really bring more green into it. The decor came together to create something very sophisticated and elegant.

The mood
A calm and cosy atmosphere was created with white dinner candles and battery pillar candles down the centre. They provided a soft glow, perfect for a cosy dinner with friends.

Place Settings
Each place setting I set with a wicker mat, a white plate with tied napkin and gold and white cutlery. I placed a fun menu card on the plates that had a ribbon deign to tie all the little details in.
