If you love the colour and smell of lavender and your wondering how to incorporate it into your wedding day then I have found some wonderful ideas for you. This theme is perfect for a summer wedding as lavender is in it's peak season June to late July.

Bridesmaid Dresses

If your having lots of bridesmaids then using different shades of this colour will look beautiful stood next to you in your white dress. Choose chiffon to remain elegant and romantic.
Create yourself a lavender crown, it will look so dainty and will add a relaxed look to your dress while still looking pretty. There are lots of tutorials out there and you will find it is easier then you think to create one.

Due to the time of year it would be quite fitting for the groom to opt for a smart but informal approach to his outfit. Braces and a bow tie are a great alternative to keep cool and less stuffy for a summer wedding. You could always add a waistcoat to feel a bit more formal if you feel it more appropriate.

Using Gypsophila and lavender will add that delicate touch to your styling. Add generous bunches to chairs or glass jars on the tables.

Table Scapes

Make table runners out of your long lavender and it will smell lovely the whole time for your wedding breakfast. Or you could place one lavender stem on each place setting to give a subtle touch. Gold cutlery and candle sticks will look elegant and pair beautifully with lavender.

Lilac foil is the perfect colour to use for your stationery details. It's soft tone will look nice against warm tones such as oak. If you would like something a little darker then opt for purple foil.

The Cake

A simple white cake will make the lavender pop with hints of sage greenery to compliment.

Serve lavender lemonade as your drinks on arrival. Not only does it look pretty, it's a bit different to quench your guests thirst. Make sure to use a recipe from a reliable source as some lavender is not edible.

Lavender macaroons would be so fun to serve as after dinner desserts or wrap them up as favours for the guests to take home and enjoy.

Display dried lavender in paper cones for your guests to throw as confetti.

A great way of incorporating lavender is as a wedding favour. If you are a DIY bride have fun creating it yourself or get your bridal party to help out, the house will smell devine for days! Wrap them in brown paper bags with bakers twine to make a little surprise parcel for your guests to open.
