How to accessorise a boho wedding dress
•Posted on June 18 2025

If you're planning a laid back boho style wedding day maybe in a beautiful meadow, in a magical teepee or at a dreamy beach setting, you maybe looking for some fun accessory ideas to help you complete your bridal outfit.
You may have chosen your relaxed boho style wedding dress, picked your stylish shoes out ready to walk up the aisle in, and booked your hair stylist and make up artist to help you create the natural look you're going for, but you're really keen to add some more of your individual personality with some statement pieces that will compliment your look perfectly, without over doing it.
In today's blog post I am inspiring you with a variety of ideas that will help you accessorise your bohemian bridal look. The options include using dried flowers which not only look stunning on a boho bride, they are also a fantastic light weight option. This is one of the many benefits of choosing dried flowers for your wedding day, because you are going to be wearing them all day long, so the fact that dried florals are much lighter to start with is a huge plus point!
They have grown in popularity in recent years among bohemian brides because there is so much choice with all the varieties available and colours to choose from, which makes creating cohesion throughout your wedding design so much easier. Also choosing them for your bridal accessories means you will be able to treasure them long after you get married. You may want to display them in your home or keep them to pass down to family members which makes them a winning choice in my eyes.
So let's take a look at your options so you can accessorize your boho style wedding dress with ease;
Dried Flower Hair Combs
A dried flower hair comb is a fantastic choice for a bohemian bride. If you're going for a whimsical playful look, then delicate dried florals will help you achieve this. Wild flowers such as pampas grass and bunny tails create a carefree vibe. They can be worn with or without a wedding veil which is great news if you're still deciding whether to wear one. They suit mid length to long hair styles and by adding cascading curls to your hair will be the perfect way to show off your statement head piece. They can help you add a relaxed vibe and romantic elegance to your wedding gown that doesn't overpower your dress. One of my boho brides sent me some photos of her selection, and just look how stunning it looks in her long hair for their destination beach wedding. Her soft curls really do help show off the hair comb.

Dried Flower Crown
A dried flower crown is another fabulous way to accessorize your wedding dress. They are a playful piece for the more adventurous boho bride. There's lots of scope with this headpiece too, as you can opt for small flowers for something more delicate and low key or you can go for a larger crown with a fuller arrangement which has got less structure. It really depends on the overall look you are going for. If you're having a relaxed laid back vibe you maybe better suited to smaller delicate flowers for a subtle look that help enhance your wedding dress details. Where as if you're going for a fun boho festival style wedding you may want to choose larger flowers to create a bigger wow factor statement. If you're getting married in a woodland setting you may want to choose a flower crown that has more dried foliage and nature incorporated into the design to compliment the theme. They really are fun to wear! Of course they are not just for boho brides, flower girls look really sweet with them and your girl gang could also wear them including your maid of honour, bridesmaids and best woman.
Hair Pins
Hair pins are amazing little additions and will work with any hair length and style. You could keep your hair really simple and pop a few hair pins in and you will instantly transform a simple ponytail into something extra special. Or if you have mid length or long hair you can incorporate them into your hair style making a really interesting look. I love the loose plated look with hair pins cascading down. Using dried flower hair pins has become very popular with boho brides as it enables you to create that relaxed carefree style, helping you look laid back and natural.

Dried Flower Corsage
Dried flower corsages for your wrist are again another really fun addition to complete your wedding dress outfit. They work particularly well if you are opting for a sleeveless wedding dress and your arms feel a little bit bare without anything on them. This was me when I got married, I opted for a sleeveless dress and a rounded neckline, so because I couldn't have a necklace, I made a wrist corsage and it was just what my outfit needed to feel complete. It's all about getting the balance right and working with the dress you choose. If you're used to wearing a watch or a bracelet, your arms may feel empty without anything there, so a wrist corsage would make the perfect choice for you. You can tie the dried flowers into your boho theme and colour co-ordinate the ribbon colour to tie around your wrist.
Dried Flower Bridal Bouquet
Complete your wedding dress outfit with a dried flower boho bouquet to walk down the aisle with. It will help tie everything together so that your bridal look, looks and feels cohesive. If your colour scheme includes natural tones, such as white, beige and brown, choosing delicate flowers such as pampas grass, bunny tails and gypsophila will look stunning. If you are going for more earthy tones using greenery and rust coloured flowers will help give alternative bohemian vibes.
