Papakata Open Weekend 2016

Rea Shaw papakata open weekend

Ohh what an amazing day we had on Saturday at the Papakata Open Weekend. It was so lovely to go back to where my wedding journey started, unbelievable in fact! In 2013 when we first went to view the amazing Teepees I would never of thought in a million years we would be going back for a whole other reason. And what a reason, I felt very proud to have been asked to send some of my Wedding Stationery Goodies to display on the dressed tables for their Style Shoot and Display for the Open Weekend.

The Teepee's
The Teepees are amazing, they still have that magical feeling when you step inside, this time with a completely new layout and vibe. Twinkle lights galore, glorious décor, cosy fires and luxury furniture. The attention to detail is stunning. It made me what to get married all over again!
The Table Décor
The tables were to die for, they had stunning sequin table runners (every women needs one of these!) with gorgeous gold fleck candle stick holders and vases with romantic tea lights. Lush greenery with the most amazing flower displays. Copper cutlery and plates to keep with the theme with my Rose Gold Foiled Menu's and Personalised Table Numbers to compliment. Showing you can glam up a Teepee and doing it really well! Wow this table oozes romance!
The Sperry Tents
It was the first time we had been in a Sperry Tent, and it did not disappoint. A very modern Farmhouse Luxe style at it's best. Beautiful tables with draped linen table runners which gave a rustic but elegant feel to the new tables and chairs, aren't they just lovely? Gold candlestick holders with terracotta pots with stunning flowers as the main feature. This table is fit for a feast for the bride and groom.
I loved the Little Black Book area where all the wedding supplier's leaflets and business cards was kept for customers to rummage through, what a unique idea!
And mine were there too!

Drip Cakes by
The Barn
These cakes looked too good to eat! What a show piece.
Beautiful dripped chocolate & Mini meringue's over the cake
The Hog and Apple
What a treat, the Hog and Apple were in the Sperry tent cooking up some Mexican Panni's to try, Yummy!
Would highly recommend them to tingle your taste buds!

Annemarie King
A lovely photographer was there who captured some of these images. She is highly experienced in Yorkshire Country weddings especially Teepees!
Final Note
We had a lovely time at Escrick Park meeting the inspiring owners, the lovely Papakata team and chatting to the other Little Black Book Suppliers, A wonderful friendly atmosphere as always I and was very proud to be part of it.
