My first blog post on my brand new website is an exciting triumph for me. Websites take a long time to put together when your selling your products, but it was time to take on a new challenge for me and my business. When you make a new career out of what started as a hobby for myself, some may think life is an easy ride as your doing what you love from the comfort of your own home. Yes it has lots of perks, make a cuppa when I like, finish early if I want. But I'm a big believer in you only get out what you put in. And I put in 100%. Small business's like myself work hard to get noticed by you guys, I answer every email, create every product by hand, work on social media updates to keep you in the loop and the daily trip to the post office, and much more in between. After a successful start to Confetti Sweethearts in 2016 selling on Etsy has given me the confidence to keep moving forward, I have lots more ideas and plans for the future of the business, so what better way to start than with a brand shoot for my website.
I still get excited when I reveal the foil every time.
My kind husband Chris took these photo's of me working away in my studio, my happy place! My house is my home but also my place of work, as a small creative business it is very important to me that you see the true side of my working life. That I am not a huge factory churning out masses of paper stacks, but that I am a real person behind the screen working on products I love to create.
Having my photo taken is not my favourite thing in the world as I am usually the one with the camera in my hand, but being at home helped me to relax. In between the giggling I think my husband did a pretty good job!
So there it is my first brand shoot for the website, and a new chapter ahead.
A final thank you seems fitting for the end of this post to everyone who has supported me from day one, my family, friends and my hubby. And a big thank you to anyone who has made a purchase from my Etsy shop since I began in 2016. You are the reason why I can carry on living my dream!
